  • Book: "Visual Business Analytics" Dirk is one of the co-authors of the book "Visual Business Analytics - Effektiver Zugang zu Daten und Informationen", which is now regarded as a standard reference for the topic. The book was the first publication in German speaking countries to explain the topic of information design to a broad specialist audience and to provide important definitions in the field of Visual Business Analytics. The book has now been published as second edition in 2018 and additionally deals with topics such as the increasing digitization of all areas of life and the industry 4.0 movement.   • Book: "Mehr als nur ein Standard" Dirk and his team worked together on a scientific study which analyzed the extent to which an IBCS-compliant design of reports facilitates the analysis. The study was carried out in the research laboratory of the TU Munich (the experimenTUM). Here, the participants analyzed different reports on the computers. The study examines both the IBCS as a whole and the individual SUCCESS rules. The complete study (in German) is available on Amazon as paperback and eBook.
